Can anyone but cosmologists get away with this sort of thing?

"See, boss, 74% of what I do is 'dark work.' You can't see it or measure it, but it has to be there, because I'm drawing a full salary."

Well, St. Paul comes to mind...

If you add these two verses together, you can come up with something akin to "it has to be there, because I'm drawing a full salary," I guess:

Hebrews 11:1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

1 Timothy 5:18 ...And, The laborer is worthy of his reward.

I'm afraid that you'll have to explain that one for me.

When my boss asks me what I've done for him lately, I can say, "The evidence of things not seen lies in the reward of which the laborer is worthy."

If that won't move the review right along, I don't know what will.

Ah, yes! I see. You'd have him dead to rights! It's fail-safe!
