WWWtW-Watch #20: Eating (Jim) Crow

Dedicated to the proposition that it can happen here.

I haven't done any What's Wrong With the World-Watch features for quite some time. Frankly, I just haven't had the interest in wading through the redundant, repetitive, repugnant screed the authors at that site keep posting. That said, this morning I thought I'd take a peek to see how the soi-disant saviors of Western Civilization were taking the election of Barack Obama to the presidency. It did not surprise me to find that they have descended into outright racism. Don't think that the reference to "McDonald's" isn't code, for it surely is.

Onward, "Christian" soldiers.

These loons aren't the only ones who are pissed off with Obama winning...the sad dears...perhaps they could move to some capitalist paradise like Singapore for the next 4 to 8 years...oh wait, that's right, only liberals talk about moving away when they lose presidential elections...conservatives just unleash the most ridiculous conspiracy theories on presidents they hate...like that they secretly kill their friends and leave the bodies in Washington D.C. parks or that they are closet Marxists...

AIP--
The reason that I think the WWWtW crew is more dangerous than either wingnuts with blogs, or conservative pundits like Derb, is that they are all "respected" academics and "Christians." They wear the veneer of intellectual superiority. They are of the "elite"--but they harbor the emotional resentments of abused minorities. That's an explosive combination.

Rodak, what did you expect? Intelligent discourse at the site?

And as I type this, Sandra Day O'Connor is on C-SPAN. One look at her and her intelligent banter with the host and audience, and then a look at your cited wing-nut site pretty much sums up what is wrong with the GOP (which will cease to exist shortly, anyway) ...

If only these people would vanish with the neocons; but they won't. Their cement is not so much conservative politics as a fundamentalist religion of the kind that forms the cellar walls of conservative politics. Even if everything above ground is blown away, they stay intact.
